Adoption update

Well, our home study was supposed to be this morning but we all have a cold so it was moved to next Tuesday. I was bummed but I believe God is in control of every step we have taken on this long journey and He is not going to abandon us now. I am so ready to grow our little family and can't wait to see Olivia as a big sister. The baby's room is ready all that is missing is our little addition.  I'm reminded of the words to a great song we learned in church a while back...

"I don't mind waiting on the Lord"

Please keep us in your prayers as we open our hearts to this experience. It's hard to know if the first child we accept will be the one we get to keep. Thanks for listening!

We love you all!

Thomas the Train was in town!

Thomas the Train was in Burnet this weekend and we were invited to a birthday party.  Livie had so much fun!  It sure didn't feel like the first weekend of Fall!  It was hot! :)

Here we are waiting for the train to start!

Olivia is so excited to get moving she can't stop looking out the window.

Finally!  Here we go!

Nice ride, but Livie got a little train-sick :(

She didn't trust the balloon man but she really wanted a flower!

He did a great job!  Too bad it popped shortly after this photo!

George and Sarah's wedding

We had so much fun getting ready for the wedding.  Sarah was beautiful and they looked so happy!  I can't wait to see what God will do in their future!

Livie was the was the flowergirl and ring bearer and she did ok. She wasn't as quiet as she was during practice but she made it.  All-in-all it was a beautiful ceremony and Anthony did great too!

Dancing with Aunt Mimi and Daddy!

Livie absolutely loves Sarah!  (so do we!)

End of Summer Fun

Anthony has been working long hours this Summer so we haven't had a chance to take a real vacation yet but we try to enjoy the city when we can.  Here are some of the things we've done.

Livie loves reading and did a few Summer reading programs.  She read over 40 books this Summer!

We went to the Domain for my birthday I decided to start a charm bracelet from Brighton
and had fun walking around watching people
act like they have tons of $ to spend :)

Today (9/10) we went to the Wild Flower Center and it was hot but nice!

There weren't as many flowers as in Spring but it is nice to be outside.

Livie is our pot of gold at the end of our rainbow!  She thought this was fun!

Anthony and Livie way up high!

Another great day :)

Long fun weekend

If you are ever wondering Livie's favorite food is pizza :)  It makes her so happy.  We have eaten out way too much this weekend but it sure was fun catching up with family.  On Friday we ate at Craigo's then late Saturday night we ate at Mangia's Pizza.  I don't have a photo but on Sunday afternoon we ate out again!  (Rudy's BBQ)  sooo ready for normal food :)  I think we all gained a few pounds this weekend!

Happy Birthday Hopie!

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted a Volvo 240 wagon!  Anthony bought me one for my birthday!  (it's early but we couldn't pass this deal up!)

We paid $700 for a 92 in great condition plus we found $7 in the ashtray! They were selling it that cheap because they said it was running rough, but Anthony popped the hood and found a spark plug had come out and he popped it back in and drove around the block.  The nice lady we bought it from said the car sounded great now!  So we paid the nice lady and drove it like we stole it!  These cars go for around $1300 to as high as $6000! (crazy I know) It has a few cosmetic issues like fading paint and the glove box wont close but those are so easy to fix.

I cant wait to drive it around Austin!  Livie wants to name it (it's a girl she says) so we are trying to think of a name.  Since the AC needs charging I won't be driving it until we fix it or the weather cools, whichever comes first!  :)

Fun Times!

Livie has so much fun when Nana and Grandpa come to visit!
 Grandpa is the most fun!
Daddy says Mommy taught me to snoop on the neighbors! :(

Happy Fiesta!!!!

Olivia's First Haircut!

Livie doesn't have a lot of hair but it was getting pretty scraggly
so this past June we decided it was time for her first haircut!
Ms. Margo was so nice and Livie had a great time!

Fun with Paint!

Olivia can't get enough of her watercolors and one afternoon while I was making dinner she decided to paint her face!  It looked like so much fun I let her paint mine too! :)

Summer Reading!

Olivia loves to read so we love our Summer Reading Programs at the library and now HEB Buddy has one too! The prizes were great and totally free!  (we love that!)
She had to wait 3 weeks for her prizes! She checked the mail every week!
So happy!
